Richard & Richard Construction is looking for a full time Project Engineer. Must have college degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field desired but not strictly required. Applicant must be willing to work at the corporate office and/or at project sites throughout the San Diego area.
The Project Engineer will work with the preconstruction director and project managers as required in all aspects of the project including: doing take-offs, updating schedules, updating budgets, tracking changes to drawings, ASI/RFI coordination, communication with design team and owners, negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, and all the requisite reporting, tracking and documentation that goes along with successful project management.
Applicants must be extremely organized in maintaining job files. Applicants must be proficient at reading and interpreting drawings from all disciplines (civil, landscaping, architectural, structural concrete, structural framing (steel and wood), mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection). He/She must also be able to work very efficiently with little to no oversight at times. Applicants must also be comfortable directing and managing carpenters, subcontractors, and suppliers.
