As a Purchasing Agent, they’d be responsible for:
- Managing subcontractors and product assortments in multiple trade categories for all of Arizona (Phoenix and Tucson). Includes managing the bid process, performing cost analysis, negotiations, strategic sourcing, maintaining contracts and scopes of work, etc.
- Managing the architecture process at the division. This involves working directly with our National Architecture drafting team to create new plans and guide them through the required community and municipal approvals.
Preferred qualifications would be:
- Bachelor Degree in Construction w/ Residential emphasis (involvement in NAHB or residential focused competitions a plus)
- Some experience in home building / construction or at least a solid understanding of the home building process. This would include being able to understand construction drawings and related contract documents (Plan sets, Master Subcontractor Agreements, Scopes of Work, etc). An understanding of the city design and plan review process is a huge plus.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and an overall high level of proficiency with technology.
- Experience or solid understanding of required municipal approvals for residential new construction is a big plus (HOA design review, city design review, building safety, etc)
